  • Question about Komplete 8 Ultimate Retro Machines MK2 base install (1.0)

I don't recall exactly what happened, but for some reason, I do not have the initial version of the NI Retro Machines MK2 download that I qualified for when I picked up Komplete 8 Ultimate, and the email I dug up with the link to that initial download is no longer functioning.

I downloaded the updated version, but it complained on install that the base product was not installed, and aborted.

Does anyone know how I can get that initial version of NI Retro Machines MK2?  It will properly activate once I find it and install it, and then I can apply the version 1.3 update.

Thanks - I never ventured into it thus far, because I thought the Vintage instrument in the Factory Library was the Retro Machines MK2.  DOH!!!!!

I did submit a tech support ticket through NI this afternoon, but if there is a way to locate and download this quicker than waiting for them to get around to responding, I would be quite happy.

Thanks,

Go to your account and find your serial and click on download and click through until the choose which product to download shows up. Select and bam.

Wish I knew how to help but I hope you get it fixed. Retro (imho) is among the best synth packages they have despite the fact that it is probably the oldest. Very useful emulations of classics. Also loving Monark, cannot get into the all the bleeps and warbles of most of the rest, though prob useful for soundtracks, game etc.

The problem here is that they had sent an email with the link to the free synth, but the link is no longer functional, and this was some sort of give-away to license holders for Komplete 8 Ultimate, which I have, but nothing for the base product shows up in my account.

That email was the only vehicle I am aware of to get it, and the link is long-dead now.  I AM a fully registered owner of Komplete 8 Ultimate.

I guess I will have to try to contact their technical support - not the most responsive bunch there at Native-Instruments, though calls I used to make to Germany's NI tech support were always spot on helpful.  I will have to rely on email now for contacting them.

To all - this has been resolved through my contacting NI technical support.

They manually registered me and provided a download link and I am now all set.
