FXpansion let loose another drool-inducing screenshot of Geist 2 on their forum....I have to say it's looking a lot better than it looked in the earlier prototype screenshots they released. It looked quite drab and pedestrian, like Excel for drums. Good to see that it's developed some character since then.....can't wait.....

That induces no drool in me. I call that drab.

I like how BFD3 sound but I'm not liking their UI approach all that much.

I'm with the Bapu on this one. FXpansion makes very "flat" looking GUI's. I hate using the BFD3 interface. Reminds me a lot of the Euro look that NI puts on all its synths. Under the hood the FXpansion stuff is great.

It's an improvement visually over Geist 1 (even if the colors are drab).  A KVR post showed that everything (including the entire interface) is re-sizable, so that's a definite improvement.

They did great job on tremor imho but the browser alone here is a pain ...no dedicated hardware ton compensate this ...

I completely understand saving horsepower for the work and not the GUI...but that is overkill. Sorry...I hate flat.

Personally I love flat and hate "realistic" 3D looking interfaces. Besides which, I wasn't drooling over the interface so much as the program and how it's shaping out....Geist is probably my most used plugin and it's almost become like an extension of my brain, it's such a great program, and the thought of it being even better in the form of Geist 2 is what makes me drool. I can't say I've ever bought a plugin for the UI design. The only problem I have with Geist is the interface being too small - the fact that this is now scalable is enough to induce a small pool of drool by my right foot (I always drool out of the right side of my mouth for some reason).
