I work in the PRV a lot, sometimes I need to adjust the velocity of some notes, the inline velocity (Dragging in the middle of a note) is hard to use when notes are very small so I select the notes so only the velocity of those notes are shown, but as soon as you draw over the velocities all the selected notes are deselected and you end up drawing over a bunch of other note velocities. (Multiple tracks are shown in most of my PRV screensets so lots of overlapping notes)

Is there a shortcut of some sort that keeps a selection as long as you hold it down, or some way of not deselecting the notes when drawing in the velocity curves?

You might want to try using the Event Inspector to adjust velocities instead. Check out this free video...

with the selected notes  hold down the alt key while you draw.

ALT was just what I needed, I knew it had to be there somewhere.

Haven't even noticed the event inspector hidden in the control bar modules, I'm sure that will come in handy at some point also.

I love how there seems to be a solution for everything in Sonar.

I find the Event Inspector to be extremely useful when doing any sort of Midi work

It will work on a single event or whatever you have selected
