No biggie but Im in the middle of a project in X2prod and my Superior Drummer midi track is showing up as notes in the PRV and not "drums".  Did I hit something by mistake and is there a quick way to revert back?  Thanks.

Are you using as Drum Map?

AFAIK, that's the only way to get them to show up as diamonds

Yeah,  check the midi track is feeding a drum map and not the drum synth direct.

Thanks...will do.  It's weird cause in the past any time I loaded a new VST drum program (EZD, Addictive, Slate, etc...) it has automatically been represented in the PRV as "drums".  I'll check it out tho:-)

I've just started experiencing this as well.

@Colin & Karyn the drum map out will show the triangles (??) in the drum map but a drum synth selected directly should show diamonds in the PRV, they now show 'regular' PRV notes.

I'm not sure when it changed as I don't very often go direct to synth but it has at some point. It's only affecting Session drummer though, hardware drum synths display as expected.

My PRV in X2 producer is still riddled with quirks and anomalies.  I still have the "no notes on entering" thingy and the "random snap changes" thingy and the "view resolution set to minimum on entering" thingy and the "I still can't remember how to always have all the snap and note entry settings on all the different thingys that have to be set just right to have it work like I want...thingy" along with others which now includes the "I'm not going to show your drums as "drums" thingy.  That's just too many thingys.  Don't ya thank????

I've just checked this in X1 and Session Drummer displays as notes there too. I perhaps wouldn't notice as 95% of my drum work is with maps and the 5% that isn't is usually solely hardware.

Perhaps it's always been that way with softsynth drums? It doesn't appear new to X2 here anyway.

Not that helps you much though....

I still see the PRV fully zoomed out occasionally but don't have any snap issues although I have seen others mention them.

A synth is a synth, regardless of what noises it makes.  PRV has no way of knowing if your synth is a drum synth or not, or even a drum patch on a "standard" synth.

To make the PRV display diamonds instead of rectangles you have to tell it you want diamonds. You do that by pointing the midi out to a drum map.

But I thought diamonds were forever??

But even tho they seem to be (one special) girls best friend I'm gonna map me some too!! :-)
