Sorry if this question has been asked. Is there a way to set your custom plugin layout as the default?

Select your layout (as though you were going to insert a soft snth/Fx plug) then save the project

You can also set up a project, install your basic tracks and route Synths with Patchs, add effects, dock your windows, choose your colors and then save that as a template(.tpl) with a name you recognize into the Sonar Sample content folder in "MY Documents/Cakewalk/Sonar8.X/Sample Content"for Sonar 8.X or "Cakewalk/SonarX1-2/Sample Content" folder on Drive C/: in Sonar X1-2 so that you can use it when start a new project.
