Well this is odd.

I've definitely clicked on the grid before, but it just switches the grid on/off. The only way to change the Snap Settings is by right clicking the grid.

This happens irrespective of whether Global Snap is on or off.

But it's not consistent.

I have no right-clicking function for the PRV grid. Something's goofy with your system.

In my case, click the grid, the menu slides out to the left, after about 4 seconds of no activity, the menu is removed.
Really? Well, there's another SONAR quirk then. I just tried it and mine stays visible until I click the grid again. Very weird.

FWIW I now see the same behaviour as you Scott, in X1 it was a sliding set up for me. I thought it had changed for X2.

Hi soens,
appreciate your tip 'hitting ctrl+alt+V' to get solid ground
under your feet when you feel things are getting fishy.

Very useful.

I'll let you people continue with the finer details...

Maybe I did not explain the functionality correctly. If a menu option is selected the menu stays open until the grid is clicked. When no options are selected or the selections are cleared, the menu is timed to disappear.

Ah ha! Yes, that's what's going on. I see what you mean now.

Although, I think just leaving the options visible would be better. You can already see whether or not they're activated, so why bother hiding anything? Anyway, I digress...

Another example of the "less clutter" philosophy that I expect is better explained in your upcoming book.

Definitely working very hard to make the book as detailed as possible.

Thanks, Steve!

My hat is off to anyone who can write a book explainig everyting X2 does. From the sound of things I think we're all still confused and learning about that...

YES! if nothing is selected then the PRV menu disappears into the grid icon. Fancy and fun to watch, for a moment, but not very intuitive or helpful when trying to accomplish something.
