Gotcha.

Thanks Ted.

This is brilliant for me at the moment - I'm piecing together an orchestral piece and I want to inject some life into the dynamics of individual instruments, and simple applying any sort of randomness with the Velocity tool isn't cutting it.

This is perfect

If you don't want a cacophony of sound with mulitple note selections deselect the "polyphonic Velocity Audition" option in preferences, then you'll only hear the one you actual click on as opposed to all of those selected.

Thanks Karl, is note velocity auditioning new for X2 or have I been sitting in the dark again?

BTW, any notes you select together will be edited together on all fronts.

No - you used to be able to do this back 8.3 I believe - maybe even earlier - but the implementation was slightly different.

Yeah, it's been there as long as I can remember well before X1 anyway.

We've improved the cacophony dramatically in X2.  If the note you click is in a chord, the whole chord is auditioned.  If the notes you select are spaced, we play only the single note clicked.  Try it out.  You might find it more useful now.

Thanks Bill, I'll give that a whirl then. I switched it off ages ago and haven't dare turn it back on since.

I've noticed this without taking too much notice - and it is a VAST improvement.

Good one Bill.
