I ordered the Groove 3 X2 video three days ago. They took my money via Paypal but I never got the download. I tried calling two days in a row and e-mailed them three times. No response. They have my money, I have no product. This will be the last time I do business with Cakewalk.

Yesterday their support phones were down because of the hurricane.

  That might explain it. However, three days with no reply? To an order? There is nothing on their website stating they are down due to the weather.

FWIW, there was an outage notice on the customer support page. It is a little late in the day now. You could PM "Ryan Munnis [Cakewalk]" but it might be just as easy to call them tomorrow. Have you actually looked in your account to see if there is a donload link?

yeah... hurricane might be part of the problem but i would be surprised if a company like cake would not have another call center solution as a backup. or maybe they're swamped dealing with calls about x2... and x1 (still...). d'oh.

Its probably the hurricane.  Boston is less than 4 hours drive from NY and this was a 900 mile storm, affecting 50 million people.  I do not think you can fault Cakewalk for a natural disaster.

When I was growing up in NYC, the stock market was closed on weekends and holidays.  Never for weather.  That is some serious business imho.

I'm sorry you don't have your download link, but I would encourage a little patience and compassion.  Every time I've called Cakewalk, its never been more than a minute or two on hold, before I spoke to someone.  These are good people.  Its a good company.

well the additional content got posted today for x2 buyers so i don't know how to reconcile the two.  i remember working in jersey on an ipo in 99 when floyd came through.  we set up a small server farm in the hotel all us consultants were shacked up in and we were flooded in for about 5 days with no running water and having to bathe with evian - ah beautifully degenerate that was!!!  what we couldn't take care of we farmed out to a team in chicago.  contingency plans are worth their weight in gold.

This is a user to user forum.. if you have problems with an order...do it the old fashioned way and call them up... complaining here wont get you anything other than vent satisfaction.
