you should be able to i think..as long as its bridged.it may be in the wrong folder..is it in program folders(86) ??..also try opening the plug in manager and making sure its file path is selected.and also chosen from the left column.

BItBridge and jBridge only work on VSTs not DXs.
There are some wrappers (DX Shell is one) that make a DX plug appear as VSTs but not always successful in x64 host.

Hi,
When I installed Sonar X1 in Win XP x32 Sony's Wave Hammer DX plug-in shows up in the Audio FX list.  Now that I'm using Win 7 x64 it does not show up.   Sound Forge Pro 10.0c was installed in both instances.

Any idea what's going on?  Can I use Wave Hammer (x32) in Sonar X1 x64?

Thanks,

Sergio

Can't you just use the wave hammer in SF? I use it all the time-SF8 no less. My specs are below. Sound Forge 8d is in the Utilities menu so I just select a track and select SF8 from the tools menu.
Never tried using it "in" Sonar. But it does the same thing outside, doesn't it?

yes im aware

what you said is incorrect Not trying to be pedantic or pick on you just trying to stop wrong info from getting out there.

DX plugins are supported in X1.

For X1 (x64) they have to be rewritten as native 64 bit plugins. All the Cakewalk FX and Sonitus suite are DX but are available as native x64 DX plugins.

mudgel...did you not see my second post?? i know..its okay..you can move on..if you read the whole thread you'd see that about 4 post later i said "there right"..read the whole thread.

I read the whole thread. It was your 2nd post I was correcting. You said that X1 does not support DX plugins BUT IT DOES.
I told you why I was making my post. Why do have to get an attitude about it?

That's the way I use it too. Maybe sergio doesn't have Sf on his Utilities menu (in X1) because he's on x64 perhaps he hasn't added it manually.

Not trying to rub anything in (i noticed you edited your post).

If I had a dollar for everytime I've been corrected on this forum well I'd have quite a few dollars. that's the way we learn here. We exchange information but if its wrong it needs to be fixed. I said I wasn't picking on you. Apologies if you took offence. I tried to say it in a civil fashion. Guess you missed that.
