Ive searched for this tons and have read many different answers. Wondering what is correct. Some imported MP3 will prompt a "out of memory" error. I thought I read somewhere that it will not import 320 bitrate MP3 only lower. And then I read it was tags. Then I read it was copyright protection. If I burn them to a CD or convert them they work just fine but that is the long way. Anybody know for sure exactly what the problem is so I can just attack the source? Is there something in the properties I can change to make them import?

When I looked into this, I came to the conclusion that it was a copy protection issue. It happened on all MP3 files that were downloaded from Amazon.. Any MP3 files that I had created worked fine..

No, you'll never fix this. Most of the time, it's mp3's that come from ipod's that are actually mp4's that do this to me. You must convert any file that gives you that out of memory deal with an encoder. Just grab this and use it any time you get a file that won't play.

*Edit* Couldn't find a good link to download. Look at the other link about to read about it, then grab it here.

I've been using this for quite a while. All my friends use mp3's that are in their itunes or whatever. I hate that thing and will never use it. So when they send me something, if I try to import into Sonar...I get that message about the out of memory. Send it through the Danusoft encoder, reconvert to an mp3 (bit rates on mp3's will not matter in Sonar. I use 320 all the time) using MPEG Layer 3 and it will load right up in Sonar every time.

Thanks I was hoping I could just edit the MP3 info in properties or something. Yes the ones I have converted work fine. Thanks!
