forgive me if others have posted about this... I searched and did not see any posts.  Anyway:

I downloaded X2 producer tonight and I am  running into a problem installing the files.  As soon as I install X2 part 1, i get this error:  "Package integrity check failed: the package has been truncated or corrupted and will close.  Please try to obtain a valid copy."

I have been using cakewalk products since the DOS days and I have never experienced anything like this.  Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Joe

Bad download possibly related to the server problems they are having as a result of the storm. Download the files again. I recently (few days ago) downloaded the files using the "Free Download Manager" and got the files without incident.

Yup you've definately had you files corrupted during the download process.
Upgrade your browser to the latest version and clear you browser cache first. You shouldn't need to install any downloader software.

"Shouldn't need to" is not the same thing as "absolutely don't need".  A lot of us have been saved after experiencing corrupt downloads by adding a simple download manager.   Given the hours required for the large downloads (Not to mention the precarious communications situation on the U.S. East coast right now), a reputable download manager IMO is a no-brainer for this situation.
