Initially I planned to use Syd's original arrangement but his guitar work is a bit too 'free' to my taste.
Major difference comes from female vocal. :)

I think you captured the whole Sid "mad Cap" essence.

Sounds well here, thanks for sharing, her voice sounded cool here.

I'm not familiar with the original, but sounds like you've done a great job on this.

I might bring the drums up a little, all I can really hear is a hat and it's not very audible.

nice video

Thanks guys!
Girl on the video has never performed anything on tape. I look forward to record another Syd Barrett cover with her. :-)

Wow, this whole production is idiosyncratic & odd; like Syd Barrett himself. Sonically, its an improvement on the original, and it has a distinctly Indian (subcontinent) pop feel. Very unusual.

Cheers,

Bert

Really good job pan up.  I enjoyed the video and the mix sounds spot on.  I like the synth sounds and pads.

Great job, just a bit more drums. And I'm a vocal nut so I'd like to hear the singer a bit louder.

Thanks for the comments, guys!
Vocal nut...:D  Usually I prefer to keep vocals in the mix, not on the face. On my scale this is almost in the front. :)

There are no drums because I did not have drummer available for the project and in this genre drum machine does not serve the purpose (in my opinion, of course). I also liked to keep the backing track fairly simple not to steal focus from the sweet girl's voice. :)

The next song we try to cover will be Jugband Blues, also by Syd Barrett. Coming this month, I hope...
