Although not physically abused per se, one of our two Labradoodles had five litters, 40 pups in all. Fortunately we were able to convince the breeder that she served her duty and should be retired. IOW, I can identify!

Tara, when not in pup, was kept in a 1 meter cubed coal bunker with coal dust for a bed, to get in she had to be lifted into this thing. When she was doing her wallet swelling best, average of 12 chocolate pups, she was privilege to the utility room with newspaper and a concrete floor for a bed. The chocolate pups sold for £850 each the others between £350 and £450 each. Her biggest litter was 15 pups. She stayed with us for five and one half years, too short a time, but she had fun and learnt to live.
