Not so sure it is the right venue for this but does anyone who has the TASCAM US-1800 working with Windows 8? I have the latest 64 drivers for Windows 7 According to some posters, it looks like SONAR X2 works very well with the new OS

Thanks man .. I just want to upgrade to Windows 8 .. Got no issues right now with Windows 7, SONAR X2 and my Tascam US1800.. everything works fine. It just that Tascam has not issued any drivers to work with Windows 8. It may work with existing ones... but I am not sure.

I have an old card (Terratec) which didn't even have Win7 drivers (64 bit drivers are Vista). At first Win 8 didn't recognize the card but you can force a driver install, and Win 8 used the Vista drivers like a champ. YMMV of course but not having Win8 drivers isn't a killer by itself. Liking Win 8 here.
