  • X2 - Double-clicking automation envelope creates node too high

When I double-click on an automation envelope in the track view, the resulting node is too high. I then have to move it back down.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

It is sending a new node to a value of zero'- that was default for double clicking an existing one.

But your not clicking an exsting one. Your making a new one and it jumps to 0. Its a pain in my ass at times

Exactly. In X1 and earlier, when we double-clicked between 2 nodes, we'd get a new node exactly where we clicked. In X2, the new node jumps up (or down) to a default value, which is frustrating.

This'll be no help but I'm curious. If you went to Undo' is it 'modify event' or 'add node?

It is "modify event" so maybe it's a bug having said that, the double click on existing node is the "reset node".

Holding down the alt key while double clicking will place a node without resetting it though so maybe it's by design.

So they added another step to adding a nod. Damn them :)

Not really, adding a node now is just a single click. The double click adding a node might be the bug for all I know, perhaps it's meant to reset the envelope. I'll have to crack open the manual and find out.

The alt+double click seems to be an extra 'redundant' method.

I would have said what kind of 'design' would that be? -- But if one now = add node, then 'two = add and reset..  that ain't seeming too far outa whack at all then.

Yeah kinda makes sense.

Doesn't seem to matter much seeing as add node is the single click which is obviously easier than double clicking.
