Hi all,

The reason I use Battery mono outputs, is so that I can apply processing 'per track' inside Sonar of each cell.

Battery has it's own effects, which is nice, but say you want to use the pro channel 'soft tube' on one cell, lets say, the snare. A mono output from Battery into it's own track in Sonar is the only way to do it with one instance of battery.

I haven't actually used Battery 3 with Sonar X2 as yet, so that is a bummer to hear. What with that and many random crashes I am getting, it's a bit sad.

To be honest, there is no reason why I needed to use mono outs, I was just basically experimenting to come to a fuller understanding of Battery. And indeed getting the mono outputs to show in Sonar just brought with it new problems. For instance, if you have say Mono outputs 6, 7, 8 and 9 in Battery, what you see in Sonar's input list will be Mono 6: Left (mono), Mono 6 Right (mono) and Mono 6 (stereo) and so on through 7, 8 and 9. Not really sure what's going on there!

Think I'll just stick to the default stereo outputs

From memory, the outputs from Battery should show as:

Mono 5 (left)
Mono 6 (right)
5+6 (stereo)

It's not Sonar.

BFD uses a similar system to Battery and if/when I choose "All Synth Outputs Mono" I get exactly that - all 32 mono outputs that are exposed by BFD. Likewise for the Stereo Pairs

if battery has both stereo and mono outs defined, can you insert those?
