It might be hurricane Sandy doing this to me.... but I need a small assist please...
[font="verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 15px; "]

I downloaded the BioMechanoid Vol. 1 expansion for Rapture and installed it....actually I re-downloaded and re-installed it.... but anyway.  I cannot see that it installed any *.prog files.  See the wavs and and few sfz files, but no programs files. (There are supposed to be 250 of them, per the website).

Anyone else had this issue?

From the Cakewalk store:

Biolabs Volume 1 is a new Rapture Expansion Pack containing 250 programs skillfully programmed by Biomechanoid. The Expansion Pack includes a 230 MB sample library hand selected by BiolabsAudio for use with Rapture’s sfz Expression Engine.
The library includes seven chapters of sounds: Pads, Atmospheres, Instruments, Bass, Leads & Synth, SFX, and Rhythmics. Every program has multiple modulation controllers assigned, these can be used to morph, modulate, mix, and warp the sounds. Many of the presets become alive on Modulation Wheel messages (CC1), evolving into new sounds.

Did you try to refresh the Rapture patch browser with F5? By default, in Vista and Win7 the prog files will reside in a hidden directory c:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs

Found the progs - thank you!!  Did the F5 trick.

placed the progs where they should go and I've got some prog disconnects (they can't find the wavs).

Going to run some experiments to see what I can make fit.

Might be back for more assist.  Thank you.

OK.  Lesson learned for the Biolabs install... the prog files can get stashed in  c:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs per scook (thanks man!!) and THAT directory may or may not be readily visible.  Once the user gets those files properly back in the rapture programs listing, then...

all waves associated with bio labs that are in the biolabs directory (and below) need to be move to directories under the rapture mutisample directory...

then, they all work just fine....

and OH, how the programs are AWESOME!!!! great sounds!

thanks all!

would be nice if rapture & dim pro did an auto-F5 on launch, save all this gnarl & pfft

It would be really nice if the installers just blew away the programs.lst file during the installation process. That would trigger the rebuild automatically.

Maybe the synths could have a checkbox to always scan the program lists on synth startup, like the plugin manager does on SONAR startup.
