Hello i've just bought sonar studio x1 and i should have a free upgrade to x2 studio. I've registered on cakewalk website, received my Registration Code. But that's all ! I went on the page who proposes to get the upgrade for 0€, but then i was prompted to create an account, and after that i can't get it, my x1 licence don't appear in that account, and i can't add it in my registered products .. If someone could help me i can't find a clue Thanks Marc

Hello markvador I have exactly the same problem as yours... I've called up for customer service for several times but get always a busy line. In fact, do you have any idea that whether we can still download the upgrade pack after Oct.31st? thx

I'm sure it will go swimmingly, esp if you point them to this thread. The answer my friend right now is blowing in the wind....

Ryan Munnis [Cakewalk]
A lot of the data centers that our service providers rely on are dealing with flooding/trying to get diesal fuel to their backup generators etc. They've been extremely communicative but unfortunately they're still not up yet. We're completely down phone-wise until our provider's providers are back up.  I can't even put up a phone greeting telling you "sorry we're closed" until some functionality is restored. The busy signal is a direct result of everything going on with the storm. Sorry for the trouble guys.

FWIW, all of Cakewalk's data/infrastructure is sound and we're getting along as normal. Really it's just our methods of communication that took the hit. Your registrations should be fine.

To answer some questions:

@ Markvador, I can see you registered but it doesn't look like it's come through the system yet. When I say "system", I'm referring to the procedure we have that links up registrations with the online store. It can sometimes take a few hours for your registration to be merged with your online account. Worst case scenario it takes overnight. If you want to send me a private message with your serial number I can give it a check manually, but my best guess is that it just needs a little bit of time before it determines you're eligible. If you have already registered and received your registration code, I wouldn't worry about IF you're eligible. We'll see the date you put it through on our end.

@ Sindermoon, are you referring to upgrading to SONAR X2 in general? If so, anyone who is eligible for the free update can still download it after the 31st. The period of eligibility, however, must fall between August 1st, 2012 and October 31st, 2012. So, this is when you'll want to get your registration in. Once granted your downloads, they'll be available any time you log into your account after the 31st.

I hope that helps guys. Once again sorry for the trouble getting through to us today!
