Heya!

Does anyone know what the name of the tool "hotspot" that resides at the top of the border between two overlapping audio clips? It's been there forever, I think, and it looks like two track layers standing against eachother. It kinda joins two clips together so they're not overlapping by moving the edges of both clips (and makes a tiny crossfade if auto crossfades are on).

I find this to be the best way of joining together audio clips in SONAR, but the hotspot is a slippery **** to get hold of. It seems that it only occupies a couple of pixels.

Wouldn't it be nice if I could hold a modifier key to make the hotspot bigger? Or is there another way to do it that I've missed? I know it gets easier with track layers enabled but sometimes I'd just rather not!

That's the "overlap cropping tool". I don't think there's a way to adjust the hotspot, but having a modifier to get that tool/mode would be a great feature.

Hey, thanks for reviving my old thread Dan!

Everyone should know that as of X2 this functionality now longer works, and everyone who wants it back should file a bug report!
