Oh good. I was just looking at pics of Ocean City with completely flooded streets...





Not sure if you are anywhere near that mayhem. I'm assuming that area is very close to shore. Also those pics are from this morning... can't imagine what's going on now.

Still hoping things will fizzle out by the time they hit here... I doubt it though.

Huh... Guess the forum doesn't like Tinypic... or something.

Apparently it's no longer a hurricane, just a very bad storm.

I'm still here beeps! Tried to work out a deal with ole Sandy thinking I might win her over...no dice...rejected again! Toughest chick I ever tried to land. She "landed" alright....been getting pummeled for hours now even before she landed. Rain is calming down now but the wind is sick. We're hanging in there...but man, this is a nightmare. Hope everyone else is ok.

Is there lightening with this storm then? Because I just looked out of my window south towards the Brooklyn Bridge and the whole sky lit up briefly as if there had either been an explosion or a huge lightening strike. Only I didn't hear any bang with it. Kept looking for a good 5 minutes and didn't see any more. I hope it wasn't something exploding!

We actually just lost power for about a minute - just long enough for me to have finished entering a REALLY complicated piece of sequenced notes, but I never got the chance to hit save.
