Right on, Karl. I guess I was being harsh in saying it "sucks" but it's a little overcomplicated IMO. I appreciate the extra functionality but having it set as the default is likely gonna screw a lot of people up... like me. I just turned off snap for now but I'm mostly working with audio so I'm editing at Zero Crossings anyway. Gonna need to figure it out next drum track I put together.

To change the default snap set it up how you want it and then overwrite the template using "save as.... type template".

That trick works for a whole load of settings BTW.
