Why is it that when I press the - button in an audio track lane it erases the clip but if I press - in an automation lane it groups it together? I have reproduced this behavior after a boot so I hope it isn't just a glitch. I would expect pressing - in a automation lane to erase data also not group it.

If I'm understanding you correctly if you look carefully there is no - widget on the track lanes. It is a x instead.

This does delete the lane and any data within it. The automation lane - widget is a hide function not delete so clicking on that puts the automation back in the main track.

That is by design I believe.

Thank you. I was afraid there was something wrong. I had thought hiding the data was accomplished by clicking the show automation button again. But I guess you can hide individual tracks. Thank you very much FBB, I'm understanding X2 better I believe! I think it is the best ever (minus robbing me of previously much used and now non working track mute overlap tool lol)

Yes - that currently is broken. Hopefully to be fixed in a future update....
