I'm all for information when it will help. I don't have any information in my footer about my system either. 

I doubt I will ever put such info in my footer. If I think that info is needed to solve an issue I will provide it when needed. 

On the other hand its not a bad idea to provide as much info as you can when asking a question. 

Exactly.  I always list in the post any information that might be pertinent. In this case I don't think it's necessary.  Also I have more clues. When I ctrl-click on the effect it opens properly and doesn't disappear into the FX bin.  It sure seem like some setting somewhere but I can't find anything like that anywhere.  Very odd.

Maybe something is screwy with your mouse settings - in Windows, not SONAR.

I've checked that and can't find anything.   Also it seems to work OK everywhere else.

I have no idea exactly which one it could be, but, have you checked your key-bindings in SONAR?

DOH!   Good point.    It seemed like something that could be related, but now that I think about it...
 

This turned out to be an issue when the Console Emulation was in the Pro Channel.  Installing the Quickfix solved it.

It's doing it again.

im getting that here and there on a project am working on just now, not consistant enuff tho, does it happen alot during play back ??
