I am only sending a mono (right channel) I had to convert it down to mono to get the display I want.. I"M not sure if this the fact i'm using windows 7 drivers in windows 8, or if its a X2 feature I haven't figure out how to disable?
This is a normal error made by many of us when starting out.
If you have a mono instrument going into one input of your sound card, BUT you select a stereo input in Sonar's dropdown input menu, you will record a one sides stereo wave file.
Try changing the Sonar's dropdown input to a mono input. Like 1 Left Stereo 1 & 2. That is an example and every sound card will have different ways of displaying a mono input.
For example: (the wording will be different for all sound cards) 1 Left Stereo 1 and 2 = The first input (mono) of your sound card. This will produce a mono track recording
1 stereo left and right 1 and 2 = The 1st and 2nd input of your sound card and this will yield a stereo recording or a one sided stereo recording, if your only recording a mono instrument
