  • Importing Multiple Audio Files at One Time in X2 [SOLVED]

In X1, when importing multiple audio files at one time, it will automatically create individual audio tracks for each file.  I only have to insert one audio track, highlight and follow the File/Import Audio command and X1 keeps each of the audio files on its own separate track.

However, with X2, when following the same steps, instead of creating individual audio tracks for each imported file, it wants to put all of the audio files I'm importing at one time into a single audio track treating them as layers.

I like the new layers function, but for this task where I'm importing different instruments, differing guitar tones, etc., this is not helpful.  Has anyone experienced this and found a solution or setting that I'm missing?

Don't create an audio track first. Just drag and drop the files into the blank space in the Clips pane of the Track view. That should import like you're expecting.
