  • Invert visible, mute, solo states in PRV?

I like to work in the PRV when composing, I have a screenset that just slams the PRV full screen and then all tracks picked, it's a great way to work for me as all notes on all tracks can be visible and full screen.

Often this means I have overlapping parts and then I need to turn them off so they don't obscure something on another track playing the same notes.

Is there a way to invert the state of the various track modes like the visibillity?  So if I select invert on a tracks visibillity checkbox for example, everything else gets hidden?

First hide the track you want to edit by clicking its Show/Hide Track icon in the Tracks pane of the PRV. Then choose Invert Tracks from the PRV Tracks menu. This should hide all tracks and make your hidden track visible.

Also, if you select a track for editing, it should bring that track's notes to the top. I'm assuming you have the Track Pane visible in the PRV.

The keyboard shortcut for the inversion is V which you may find even quicker.

Thanks for the shortcut Karl, now I'm getting up to speed.

Although it would be a nice addition if you could just alt or control click the various checkboxes in the prv track list, like the eye icons in photoshop layers palette.
