it wouldn't be soooo bad if they had developed a naming convention first... but come on, something as simple as hi hat 2 being named either hihat2 or hihat-2 totally screws up the parsing i was going to do to move them all into directories. blech.

edit...
and files named <name>.rx2.rx2
LOLZ!!!

I asked the same question a few weeks ago and was told it makes the loops easily "searchable".  I have no clue what they were talking about.  I much prefer the folders or categories.

I guess some would say, the X2 pattern matching search function makes filtering a large directory faster that navigating a directory tree. A good naming convention would make it even faster.

Here's a batch file to rename the loops files in this order if anyone's interested
<kit/style>-<instrument>-<bpm>.rx2

download it to the content - loops directory and run.

I'll get around to standardizing the names of the instruments at some point and make that available as well.

that was weird...

EDIT!!! --- and... i just noticed that they are all the beatscape factory content.
swamptooth <--- TOOL.
LOL.

ANYWAY... so if cake is touting their search so much why don't they make it recursive through subdirectories???
