Ok, so I started a thread about how I was exporting a track and it froze up in X2 64 bit, this caused all of my in and out drivers to vanish from my preferences. A system reboot brought them all back into my preferences dialogue, but while X1 works and gives me audio, X2 wouldn't give me output or even give me any inputs to record a new project with even though they were all listed and checked off. The settings were the same as in my working X1-64. So I uninstalled and reinstalled X2 64 bit version and now I get the same result, but also get RMIXSonar_64 plugin error in Main Call and still no audio in X2 or workability... Here's a screen shot of the actual error report: http://img208.imageshack....9/rmixerrormessage.png Help! This really sucks... :(

Another question, how do you officially report problems to the bakers? Link please... Thanks!

I think this is what you're looking for...    http://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/problemreport.aspx

As far as the I/O goes, you could always try renaming your aud.ini file so that SONAR generates a new one.   Worth a shot.

Ok, so I now know that my Preferences/Driver Settings/Timing Master wasn't set properly and was preventing my audio in both directions from working. Unfortunately uninstalling and reinstalling has broken RMix. How do I go about removing and reinstalling just RMix?

silly idea, but, if all the files are there and the same, you could try a system restore in Windows to roll back settings. It's a shot in the dark. You should be able to roll forward again if it doesn't work, but don't do it on battery. Plug in to the wall and don't do it during a storm (or hurricane if you are East Coast).

click Start > type 'System Restore' on Windows 7 and 8 for more information.

Did you delete the relevant keys from the registry as part of your uninstall routine?

This needs to be done in order to do a subsequent clean install

These are the keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR Producer\X2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR Producer\X2

Ok now I've deleted the registry, but still get the same R-Mix error message in the screenshot link I posted before. X2 is now working ok. How do I just delete and reinstall R-Mix? Is there a plugin manager that has the functionality to uninstall a single plug? I know in the custom install, I can choose a single element for installation...just not sure how to clean out the old properly to bring in the new...

Fixed the problem. Deleted the R-Mix subfolder from the VST Plugins folder and from the VST inventory in the registry. Then reinstalled only RMix in the custom installation menu and it works now... Thanks!
