Well at least it's not just me seeing this weirdness. I also discovered that my PRV just quits scrolling with playback seemingly at its whim. And you're so right about never knowing where PRV might take you in any given track. I was working on some horn parts and it would not take me to those measures no matter what I tried. I think part of my problem is that usually enter the PRV using Alt-V and not double clicking on a clip. I'll try that and see if it helps. Thanks for confirming my su****ions Kevo, ol pal.
I have seen the zoomed in/out PRV view but its not all the time and I can't seem to pin down why. I'm guessing that's one of those odd bugs that only show under some circumstances.
The PRV that stops scrolling is caused by a feature - "left click locks scroll" which also works in the TV. If you left click and select anything (Clip/notes/etc) in either view the scroll will stop to allow you to complete the edit. You can restart the scrolling by right clicking in the top half of the time ruler (where the cursor changes to a magnifying glass).
Alternatively turn it off altogether by deselecting that option in the "
TV Menu--->Options--->Click behaviour" menu. That turns it on/off in both the TV and PRV.
Regarding the snap. I've seen several complain about the snap not working in the PRV unless the PRV snap is turned on but I don't see that at all. I wonder if there is an obscure bug going on with some configs/setups.
The snap in the PRV here follows the global snap setting unless I turn on the PRV snap. For the PRV snap to work though the global snap must be on.
