@mike.  oh so maybe new monitors will enable the nvidia to give me more rez?

hmmm must look into this further.  Would love to know just how much screen rez i could gain in real terms.

When i asked her if size effected my performance, she said no. But then she mumbled something under her breath. I think she said
"it effected the quality of the performance."  I dunno!!!

Flatscreen displays have a native resolution that yields the best quality image, and that's what you'll want to use for the crispest picture, especially text. To get significantly more tracks onscreen, you'd probably have to replace the monitors with larger ones with a higher native resolution.

Another possibility is rotatable displays. Mine can be rotated 90 degrees, which reverses the width and height dimensions so that you can see more tracks in the track view (but fewer in the console view). It has an added advantage of not blocking your speakers as much. I've tried working that way, but found I preferred seeing more of the track over more tracks.

Track folders and screensets are probably your best (certainly the cheapest) strategy.

Thanks bit.

Just back from PC store.  Not sure what to go for now.

Would I be right in thinking that the fact my vid card can display all of the control bar in sonar (if I drag the bottom right mainscreen across my 2 monitors), that if I was to get a much bigger 1 screen monitor, I can achieve this without having to upgrade my vid card too?

I see many screenshots of peeps using one monitor and being able to see all of the control bar (and obviously a much larger clips pane view).  What screen rez monitor should I be looking for to achieve this?

check the specs of your graphics card and monitors. if 1280x1024 is the highest your monitors will go and your card supports more, you should get one 24 or 26" monitor set for 1920x1080.

Will that give me all the control bar in 1 screen?  (I'm not pushed for the control bar you understand but more clips pain will do nicely.
