Nice work!  Cool song, punchy mix, crunchy guitars, and great lead vocals.   I really liked the solos too.

For those harmonies in the first section, what got me was the timing - they could follow the lead line a lot closer IMHO, especially when it's falsetto.  If you can work out the timing, I'd even consider adding a third harmony - I loves me vocal harmonies.

i think i'll re-track the entire opening section, for vocals..
i'll try it with just one lead vox, and then another version with full blown harmonies,
and see which one sits the best.
by the way, i can't sing falsetto.
LOL
;)
it's just my high voice.... which works sometimes, and not, other times.

high harmony, check.

i'll get to work very soon on retracking that vox....
hopefully, that will pull it together.
i just can't decide, if i want to dig into it, like i did on this last version...
or try to do it real soft and light...
kinda like Plant does on the opening of 'ramble on'

thanks for listening and reviewing

Not much I can add to this song, hard rock is not really my thing. I do agree with tightening up the vocal intro, I didn't think there was anything wrong with it perse. Good song, I liked it a lot.
I wish I could play guitar like that.

Great rocking powerful sounding number.  Ya, maybe the vocal timing was a wee bit off in the beginning but they don't detract from your powerful vocals once you get it cranked up!
Nice one Bat!

appreciate the critique,
as far as re-tracking,
i've got some ideas about just about everything at this point!
LOL
i try to walk away from projects after i have them finalized,
but man, when you start thinking about all the 'what if's' it can go down a long back alleyway.
LOL again...

glad you liked this one, freddy....
thanks for listening.
i guess my idea of ' mournful, loose elocution ' is more like brain electrocution.

This sounds good.

In terms of the vocal harmonies, I think the difficulty is that they don't completely line up, so the sibilances clash.

Have you considered taking out some of the treble from the backing vocals and increasing the reverb, to push the backing vocals further back in the mix?

thanks for commenting...

you know, i DID try rolling the high end off...
but in the end, i preferred the clarity to be there, and to allow it to be a bit off, which to me, is just more rock and roll than polish and spit.

but....
that said, i'm still going to retrack the first part, and re-think the mix on the rest of the harmonies....
i might just end up adding more!!
heheh
