Hey guys,
I was just watching a video about whats news in Ableton Live 9 and they seem to have a pretty amazing feature that allows you to extract midi from Audio.

Ie: Hum a melody line and it figures out what notes you are humming and creates a midi clip.

Can we do something like this inside sonar x2?

Cheers

I just thought of that, but the results are way off, it does not detect most of the notes. Are there sensitivity settings? Or something like that?

Audio snap does this. But you better know how to set it up correctly.
It converts audio to MIDI

Celemony Melodyne is probably the best tool for this type of task.

Audio Snap only converts to 1 specified MIDI note and works fine for drum replacement.
V Vocal is well documented as not a strong piece of software

Melodyne as Scott say's is the tool for the job. It now comes as part of Studio 1 but you can purchase a stand alone version.
