Hi all

I posted my request in the midi and audio interface forum with no success, and here Iam before to ask the same question hoping that someone might shed a light and help me figure it out.
I bought an Edirol fa 101 a while back 2007 to be exact. Back then i had no problem setting it up under windows xp pro.
Now came Sonar X2 and things got a lot different since i had to upgrade my box to win7/64.
I went to the edirol web sight downloaded, the driver for win7 64 bit, installed the driver but when i run the wave profiler it doesn't show any resolution past 44 knowing that i have a 48, 88 ... 192 capable.
Can anyone tell me if i did something wrong during the set up process? Or if at all possible direct me to a place where i can learn how to deal with sound in windows7.
Thanks for your time and trouble.
Again Sorry if this is not the wright forum.

I'm not familiar with the FA101 but it's always a possibility that you have to either set the sample rate on it first or something else has a lock on it, a Windows program or even windows itself perhaps.

Have you tried it in ASIO mode? Some devices have greatly varying drivers. I know I have one. Mine has 24 inputs available under ASIO compared with 8 using WDM drivers.

Set the Driver Mode to ASIO instead of WDM. I wouldn't worry too much about resolutions higher than 44.1KHz since that's what standard CD's use. Set the bit depth to 24 bit and the sample rate to 44.1KHz and you will get great sounding recordings.
