I downloaded the Real Player. Will check it out tomorrow. I like the laptop out to audio input on the DAW idea. That's easy enough. lol Heck if the old iphone is strategically placed I can steam video from it into my DAW.  The return approach is super cool. Just gotta watch yer levels. I knew there had to be a way to route computer audio into the DAW somehow.  I'll mess with it more tomorrow. It's late! Thanks guys!

It really depends on the quality your after. Most content on the internet is already lo-fi anyhow so might as well keep it that way.
I'm only after real old rare songs I'm thinking about doing. stay tuned to the song forum for this little gem. 1 hit wonder band. The Cars covered it latter. It has a cultish following. It takes 5 minutes to learn. I played it when I was 9.

Yeah, I've heard that track before. Pretty cool stuff.  I was ripping some stuff off of my Fringe Blu Ray DVDs.  I went light pipe from my PS3 into the optical in on my MOTU 896mk3. Wow, the audio sounds incredible. It's all riddled with background music and that's not really what I'm shooting for. But whatever, I managed to grab some stuff and load it into my sampler and create some musical stuff with it but not much. It's just impossible to find good quality dialogue without any music in the background these days. I might get on Netflix and play some old movies and see it there is anything interesting to snag. Which, also had dawned on me that I might also be able to go to Youtube and stream audio from the PS3 to my DAW that way. Doh!

If you got the X2 upgrade you could use RMix to filter out background music. Cheers.
