SONAR X2 / Garitan plugin
When Playback is stoped, all 16 loaded samples MOD wheel return to "0".
I know about the control lanes, but not sure how to fix this CC issue.
What is the method used to stop this from happening?
(There's not the same MIDI data when using the Simple Synth method.)

When Using a MIDI Guitar interface, (GI-20 or AXON) what is the best method?
I would like to use a foot control to control the MOD wheel.
 

Hi there.

If you go into Edit>Preferences>Project>Midi take the check off the box that says "Zero Controllers When Play Stops", and Cakewalk will stop putting those back to zero.

Please note that this is a 'per project' setting, and if you want that to be set for ALL new projects, then you want to edit any project templates you use in Sonar (Normal, etc), so that the box is not checked - then either save as a new template or overwrite the original template to preserve that altered behavior for new projects.

That setting would apply to prevent ANY resetting of controller (mod wheel etc) when the project stops, and it would not matter if it were a midi guitar or some other midi device, like a keyboard or whatever.
