I enjoyed listening to this Steve. Very well played! I also thought the strings were a little artificial in a few places but overall it was nice....one technique that sometimes works is adding some verb to it . I could hear that you did add some but maybe a bit more on those strings. 

Thanks, Tim!   I am still working on this one, so perhaps I'll try a little more reverb just for those violin parts as well - I hadn't really thought about that.
 

Sound nice to me and almost realistic. I love these kind of creations, especially when they are done with feeling and conviction. Nicely done!!

As a composition and performance I really like this piece.  I agree with the comments regarding the realism of the string, but they still work fine.   Unless you have LA Scoring Strings, Symphobia, Hollywood Strings, etc.. you really have to work on tweaking the sounds to get there.   GPO isn't bad, just requires a bit more work.  
 
Anyway, cool composition and really well done.

@John - Thanks!  I appreciate the "feeling and conviction" comment as that is the approach I am going for.  Hopefully version 2 will add just a little more of the same!
 
@ Mark - Thank you!  For me composition has to come first with this type of music, so I'm happy to know that's making it across.   I'm still making some changes on this one for velocity, pitch and volume, so I'm hoping the additional detail will come through in the next version.    One can hope.
