The music is composed and orchestrated using Miroslav Philharmonic and Sonar X3. Please feel free to drop me any advice or tips in composition or music production after watching this video

The Maillard Reaction
I absolutely loved it.

I really enjoyed your use of humor with regards to the timing and the motifs featured in the composition.

I think the orchestration was really nice and I especially liked the fact that your choice of orchestration reflected an awareness of, dare I say appreciation of, classical music rather than the sound of just-an-other movie clonetrack.

I especially enjoy the theme of frogs and frog loving. We have a pond and live on the edge of a small cypress swamp. We see and hear at least 12 species of frogs that we share the landscape with and we love the songs they sing.

Thanks for sharing!

Well done! Agree with everything Mike said as well. I love how you kept it simple yet it still sounded very complete and fit the video perfectly.

It sounds very good here and as noted contains a sense of humour that relates back to the accompanying video.

Thanks Wookie and Beagle. For reverb I used 3 instances of Perfect Space. Longer reverb time for woodwinds and Harp so that they sound like from the back of the orchestra, shorter time for violins and viola, I rolled off The Bass and Cello's reverb freaquency below 200Hz.

+1 to the above...   well done!

The music fit the animation, it was performed and mixed well, and it worked great as a "real" orchestral piece.

I heard a few crackles and clipping in there, Just have a listen and see if you can see if anything is too hot. Nicely done though. :)

I think you are right about that. I used concrete limiter with output at -0.3db. Does that mean I need to back off on the levels to maybe -0.5db?
