Hi guys,

The constant crashes whilst working on larger projects is getting to me. My computer is getting old.
I'm seriously considering buying a new PC - possibly one designed for music production. I will only link it to the Web for registering and updating software.

Will I face problems if I want to set Sonar HS7xl up on a new machine? Or is it literally a case of putting in the CD to the new machine and installing?
I have lots of downloaded synths etc on my current PC - most have licences/internet registration - is it literally a case of dropping those files onto a stick and placeing them onto the new machine?

I don't know how it all works really.
Any advice/warnings would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Dave.
You can have SHS 7 on more than 1 computer as long as you only use 1 at a time.
You should be able to move all your synths and project files easily with a thumb drive, depending on the sizes of the files. Or get an external hard drive, move everything to that then connect it to the new machine.
You should be able to move the registration numbers/files the same way. When I registered Ozone, they sent me an autorization file which I loaded onto a thumb drive and used that to autorize it on my music machine.
Good luck!
