I am thinking of buying the Sonar X2 studio edition, and so I have downloaded the Web Trial, which of course is X1 producer, but I just want to evaluate the product and create some simple tracks (Drums, Bass, Guitar and Vocal)
I will record all of those, except for the drum track which I will need to program, or sequence, using a plugin.
 
So the first thing I have done in my trial copy is to add a new track for the drums.  I have assumed that I must add a Soft Synth and then choose a plugin which represents a drum kit?  But I cannot select any, or they are not installed.  The only plugin I can select is something called Rapture, and I dont think this is a drum kit ...
 
Can anyone can help me to add my first drum track in the trial version ?

Cakewalk's Session Drummer 2 is available for $50. Their Studio Instruments, which includes a drum synth, is also $50.
And Cakewalk's Music Creator 6 is a complete program and includes the Studio Instruments Drums synth. It's $40. All downloadable.
There are probably some decent free drum VSTs on the internet, but it's been so long since I shopped for such things, I forgot the names of them.
