Wrote this for all the old guitar players. Guitar, strings and vocals by me. All other tracks by Band In A Box. A friend of mine did the mixing (Buddy Stephens). And it's a waltz. Don't hear many waltzes in country music anymore. Used to be a staple. All comments welcome. Thanks.

An update on the song is available. Turned the vocal down a little and a little rearranging. Hope you'll give a listen and some feedback. Thanks.

Nice song. All of the vocals seem a bit muffled to me. Maybe too much low end? Drums could be a tad more present IMO.

Overall nice job.

A waltz! I heard that actually before I read it. I had an image of people dancing to it. Nice. People can get some pretty amazing results out of that box.

teego, thanks for listening. Someone pointed out your song about your dad to me. Really great. Sound quality is very professional.

Bapu, thanks for listening and your input. Will look into your suggestions about the song.

The Band19, yes, waltzes are a thing of the past. Don't hear them much anymore except from old guitar players. BiaB can produce some nice results. I started out doing the recording but wanted steel and fiddle for the song so I drug out BiaB and got this. Thanks for listening.

Well done!  Great performances all around.  The waltz sure does give it a classic feel, and very appropriate for the song.

Mix-wise I'm with Bapu - the vocals sound a bit phasey and/or over-compressed, mainly when there's more than one voice happening (are you singing the high backups too?  nice!).   They also seem to be ducking the drums a little much, so a little clarity there could go a long way.

Mix aside, I think it's a great tune - original.

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans would love this, as this fits right into their time in the western world. Very nice execution all the way around and a great mix. Very, very nicely done. Nice dip sound at the end!!

Peace and Blessings, John

Yep.... they don't make country music like that anymore.

That's the kind of stuff I grew up listening to as a child. Still have a bunch of my parent's old 45's.

Nice.

The lead vox is fine. The BGV are not clear. Kinda phasey sounding. I'd look at fixing them.

stevec, thanks for listening and your comments. A friend mixed this for me so I left it up to him to do what he wanted. We discussed the song and he was to get back with me, maybe, on another mix. The harmony was done by a friend, Mel O. Dyne. You may have heard of him. Glad you liked the song.

John, Roy and Dale! Love "Happy Trails to You." Thanks for your comments. Glad you liked the song.

Guitarhacker, thanks for listening and your comments. Will look into the BGV.

I guess the old guitar player is dead. I guess it sounded fine to me, still thinking about it.
They put his fingers in a jar, something like Einstein's Brain. Well, maybe not.
