  • X2 Event Inspector MIDI channel data entry not working?

Apparently the Event Inspector module in the Control Bar has a bug.

Yesterday I went through a project and reassigned each midi track to ascending MIDI channels 1-16.

Today I open the project and try to change the MIDI channel for notes on track 14 from 9 to 11.

I click on the channel box in the Event Inspector to highlight the number 9.

I press the + button to increase the value only to see the number change to 8 and stop.

I click it again and try to enter the number 11 with the key pad but the number remains at 9.

The Event Inspector will not allow me to go past channel 9!

I opened the Event List View to change the MIDI channel for the same notes and it works fine.

Any one else have this problem?

Working okay here. I tried using the =/- keys and direct text entry. Works in both PRV and TV.

Working okay here too... that's a strange one. Does it happen in every project or just the current one you're working on?

I don't remember what I was doing the 1st time. The 2nd time I had 2 projects open while copy/pasting MIDI between them in PRV.

It only happens once in a while. Currently it's working correctly. Closing Sonar and reopening it may fix it or rebooting the system. It happens so infrequently it's hard to pinpoint.

The Event Inspector is pretty cool. The one thing I'd like to see added to it is to make it floatable. I"d like to see all the modules floatable so you can use them more efficiently accross multiple monitors...

Yep, I agree. I'm hoping to see a lot more customization in future versions of SONAR. Not only being able to break apart the Control Bar and float modules, but be able to create our own modules and maybe even multiple bars. Be able to keybind every single function in the application, etc. The more customization, the better.
