Recently have decided to get into understanding and utilising FM synthesis.
 
I've been getting used to working my way around Z3ta+ and am wondering if&how it can be used to achieve FM synthesis???
 
I've done some googling and haven't found anything relating directly to Z3ta+, I tried using info from other synths and applying it but no avail yet, any help would be much appreciated!

I don't think you can in Z3TA. It can do FM modulation, but that's not really FM synthesis. 

I never liked FM synthesis. I had a Yamaha TX81Z a long time ago and I found programming patches to be very unintuitive. I was never really crazy about the sound of a DX7.  Before you go too far, I recommend you read this article on FM Synthesis in the Wikipedia.
