this is a song i've been working on for some time, it's kind of a happy fast-moving, grooving rock tune at first, then breaks down to a bluesy jam for the last half.
inspired by deep powder snow skiing, this song has been in my head for several years.

i recently repositioned all of my studio gear, sounds completely different in there now, and i've got a series of 4 new songs i am actively "RE-mixing" with the new acoustics in my room.
it's time for a new album. i've got a LOT of material.....
and a lot of new mix techniques i'm experimenting with, trying to simplify things quite a bit.
any comments are appreciated.

Cool rock tune!   Great playing and tone throughout.  Love the solo in the second half, sorta sounds like a cross between Robin Trower and Kenny Wayne Shepard.   And the vocals are working well.

"Champagne powder"...   I like it.

You definitely got skills! Everything about it sounded great, love the transition to the blues.

thanks for listening.
this is a new mix and song, so a lot of info from previous reviews of my stuff here, are going into the mixes.

these drums are Sony Acid, tho, and i cannot edit them at this point, except for eq and compression.
it's a stereo 16 bit wav file, and i'm stuck with it.
but that's ok, i like the way it sounds now.
i just can't tweak it anymore.

the lead vox i sang twice, and bring the 2nd part up just slightly below the main part, and take it completely out from time to time, to let the words be more defined.
then there is 2 and 3 part harmonies, and some of those are stacked as well.
i guess there is about 8 vocal tracks, but mostly at any given time, only 5 are up.

Wookiee
Not a wise suggestion Gonzo, Wookiee's are unpredictable sober, when mixed with alcohol things become... I leave that to your obviously vivid imagination.

Now what to say about this creation yours. hmmm.  Not read anything else written here so here goes.

Nice guitar playing, drums sound good though they do seem to get buried in a couple of places.  The midway transition sounded a little confused but you do appreciate the furry around the ears which can have some comb filtering affect.  Liked the vocal and the lyrics held my attention.

The production up there with most of your work, my ears did enjoy and as such I enjoyed also.  Could I tell you how to improve it very doubtfully .

Thanks for sharing it is always a pleasure

PS I did download and listen to the wave.

thank you for listening.
trower/shepard, yeah, i could hear that.
champagne powder, yes, that's the stuff.
i had quite a bit this season, thank you.
but never enough.
here, the good stuff is about 4-6% water, it will literally choke you like talcum powder.
feels amazing.

appreciate the comments.
the transition, hm, i say it's the 'bluesy section', but seriously, i could not label it 'blues'......
wonder what it really is?
