@chuck... Yeah, I know. I just think they could make most of that stuff not be quite as vid resource intensive. The crazy stuff like the stereo field analyzing whatsamawhosits and the like is understandable but simple waveforms shouldn't be crippling people's systems. They just need to spend an extra bit of time tightening up the graphics performance of this stuff so it's more accessible, yanno? Hope you've been well.

The only things that have not been stable here are dimpro with drum grooves: 100% crash rate...

Interesting... I'm having the same thing happening with the DimPro drum grooves. Not a 100% crash rate, but there are enough grooves that do crash my system that I just don't go near that folder... all other DimPro patches seem to work just fine.

I never use the DimPro grooves...   are they REX files?

@rcrees: Yeah, most dim pro stuff seems to be ok. Btw, this happened in EVERY version of sonar and reaper, for the last nearly 3 years. Also, others have reported it in the past, and also this is a clean install. If the sfz player would play them, I could live but what really bugs me is what little I hear of the grooves makes me think I'd really like them!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, back to your regular programming.......

always good to hear from you my friend...i know exatly what your talking about when it comes to just waveforms..only prob is,there is so much more..even just in the track view.,the pro channel believe it or not is pretty video intence as is the console when a few PC's are expanded.
and lets not forget its also using windows aero.

I would pay more than TWICE the upgrade price of X2 Producer for Cakewalk to instead fix bugs in X1. Unfortunately, I have lost a lot of confidence in Cakewalk's ability to find bugs in their own software before releases. I just wish Cakewalk development schedules would just slow down and allow them to do things better than to get the latest and most competing features, or that a budgetary decision would be made to ramp up Beta testing and bug-hunting vs. researching things like Pro-Channel plug-ins. My 2 cents.

That was my point AND MAINLY that it is not available in 8.53 (Which, BTW IS SONAR)

I was kind of surprised by that as well, it won't even load in X1.  But it is what it is.

Hey Tim!
Just keep using what you have been using, because it must work for you. I could buy X3 and my stuff would still not sound anything like your mixes do. Just sayin'
Just because you have the latest and greatest, dosn't make it sound any better if you don't have the skills, like you do.
