I just upgraded from sonar x1 le. I downloaded X2 studio. I setup the program. everything seems fine. I had to go into the folder structure to start the application. When I click it Sonar X2 begins to start up, but after a few seconds it disappears and is gone.... Any ideas. took forever to download.
 
I tried to uninstall, but said the uninstall file was corrupt!!!
I have a 64 bit windows 7 machine.
Was it just a bad download?

If you've only just installed it and it won't get further than the splash screen I'd try a reinstall. I appreciate you can't apparently uninstall but what happens when you run the installer again?

I did try a reinstall this morning with the same ... Just the splash screen result.
I installed last night failed.. i tried an uninstall last night.. failed
I did a reinstall this morning it failed, as well as another attempt to uninstall.
 
I did try to install the 64 bit version on my 64 bit machine
any ideas?

try holding the SHIFT key down as you click on the sonar icon to open the program.  that will force it into reinitializing settings.

Did you uninstall the previous version of sonar?
I uninstalled 8.53 after x2 was running at some level of stability.
Once 8.5.3 uninstalled, couldn't open a x2 project, just hung.
I don't care why or what I did wrong, I don't have the time or energy to send em to cakewalk. 
 fact is that it may be why you are having problems. Did the same on laptop and exactly the same thing, once 8.5.3 uninstalled, can't open x2 projects. Once a system restore done, back to ok.
Thankfully a system restore to when 8.5.3 was installed fixed it, but just a heads up as to why you may have problems as it sounds like a nightmare.
