Have you all notice that 3part plugins sounds better, tighter, warmer running thru new PRO CHANNEL FXs chain VS insert them old way direct into FXs bin? It’s not a matter of POST or PRE FX: s bin the PRO Channel. If you take a listen and make a blind test, you will hear it sounds better, warmer, tighter. At least different then the FXs bin.

I think (and this is only speculation by me); somehow when inserted and running the 3part plugins thru new PRO CHANNEL FXs chain inside PRO CHANNEL it get 64bit oversampled or it can be change of phase time colorization, tighter?

Anyhow with use with the new CONSOLE Emulation inserted at the TOP of the channel running 3part plugins thru new PRO CHANNEL FXs chain inserted below, somehow makes it sound better than insert the same plugins the old way direct into FXs bin. The only bad thing is that you can’t control the inserted plugins with help of the hardware controller. You need to use the mouse to be able to edit.

Here is an example. Should be the same routing but it doesn't sound the same?

CONSOLE config 1 (With Pro Channel FXs chain)

"Sound Source""-------> CONSOLE EMULATION----> "PRO CHANNEL" ----> "New Pro Channel FXs chain" *3part Plugins inserted-----> (FXs Bin) *No plugins [POST]---------> BUS

CONSOLE config 2 (FXs Bin- POST)

"Sound Source""-------> CONSOLE EMULATION----> "PRO CHANNEL" ----> (FXs Bin) *3part Plugins inserted [POST]---------> BUS

Freddie...

Of course, with the Console Emulation first, 3rd party plugs will sound warmer, wider, and tighter...
they are being effected by the CE.....

That's just logical, and would sound entirely different then when in the FX Bin,
as there is no CE in the FX bin to add the "Console Color"...

Well of course it's different, it's a different chain!

Take the EMU out and listen again

The one thing i do not see you say is that an Effect in FX bin sounds different to the same Effect at the top of the PC (with PC modules being the same).. and that would be the only thing that would surprise me if so

Sure... but that isn't what I'm saying. The Routing is the same in X2 with CONSOLE EMULATION inserted in FX:s bin or Pro channel Fxs chain.

Here are 3 ways to route. The third example route the CONSOLE EMULATION after all plugins. The first and second example of routing should sound and give the same result but it doesn't sound the same?

CONSOLE config 1    (With Pro Channel FXs chain)

"Sound Source""-------> CONSOLE EMULATION---->  "PRO CHANNEL" ----> "New Pro Channel FXs chain" *3part Plugins inserted-----> (FXs Bin) *No plugins [POST]---------> BUS

CONSOLE config 2      (FXs Bin- POST)

"Sound Source""-------> CONSOLE EMULATION----> "PRO CHANNEL" ---->  (FXs Bin) *3part Plugins inserted [POST]---------> BUS

CONSOLE config 3     (FXs Bin- Pre)

"Sound Source""----> (FXs Bin) *3part Plugins inserted ------> CONSOLE EMULATION----> "PRO CHANNEL" -------> BUS

Mystic38. The post you refer to confirms Freddie's routing as he described it. Unless you specify that the PC is post fx bin it is Pre fxbin. So config 1 and 2 should be the same signal path. I have not tried this so I will not comment about the claim that it sounds different.
