Lyrics:

Verse 1:
The lonely sheets, that's all that's left
Is it a crime, if I did my best
But I can't stop loving you
I never really stopped caring 'bout you, please I
I Need you in my world, whoa-oh-oh

Chorus:
Where did the love go?
And did you happen to see it pass us by
Where did the love go?
I thought it might work out this time

Verse 2:
A quiet night, a night made for two
It don't feel right, me without you
I never met one with quite your style
I fell in love with a simple smile, and I
I won't last much longer,  whoa-oh-oh

Chorus:

Bridge:
Oooo, And why do we hurt
Oh, And why do we cry
I need you here with me right now
So I can get back to my life

(Guitar Solo)

Chorus X2

Note: Updated mix posted @ 1:23PM PST Nov. 21 to fix final guitar line. Also, the song now allows free download of the 24bit non-dithered .WAV for your listening pleasure. Enjoy.

You're singing about/to a monkey, right?

Best vocal I can remember hearing from you Robby.

Got my Bic flicked, hands above my head swaying side to side.

Sounds great on my full range 1.5" laptop monitors!

Uht oh! Just heard a little hiccup. The guitar stutters just after 4:15. Need to fix that.

Excellent job folks.

Thanks.

Bub.

Robby Robbins wonderful vocals and what a falsetto Jonbouy on drums don't overwhelm it all but instead shows good fineness in setting the mood SteveStrummerUK - All Electric Guitars good push in the end there Jason K.do a great work with the piano Bapu Bass, All Acoustic Guitars, Strings, Producer everything at the right time without steeling the show Great mix with no effects sticking out. 5 stars on this - it could be that I do like the 80's

First thing I said to Bapu when he gave me the original track to listen to.

"You have to get Robby to sing this!"

I think he already had that in mind.

Perfect vox!

Wow---this is just gorgeous!  Robby, always nice to hear you sing...this is especially good.  :)  Jonbouy....FINALLY I get to hear you play again.  It's about time.  :)  Loved what you did here.  :)  Jason's great on the keys.  Guitars are sweet too.  Maybe a bit overpowering in a few places, but a really good job.

Who wrote this?  It's excellent.  Fantastic, gents!

That guy is nuttier than a Butter Pecan Pie, but he can sing? Good job!

Listening in the cans now. That is one hot, sexy .wav ... Wow! I think you did yeoman's work on the production/mix. The bass? :-) From one Alembic owner to another... It sounds really really good! And the stadium rock sound on the guitars, the drums sit perfect and are perfect for the song. The mix of the BGV, just really spot on IMO. Great song! Thank you so much for the opportunity to contribute :-D It was really a pleasure.

Can you please provide detail regarding the vocal chain?

I can tell you this much;

Newuann U87AI ---> Universal Audio LA-610 (light compression)

I'm not sure what you did after that? If you could expound on both the lead and BGVs? I would appreciate it.

Thanks again (Dr. Jekyll)
