Hi,

Wouldn't mind seeing them ... would love to talk to Dave about his book, and do a slight interview ... the book is as much a history of radio in England as it is about Strawbs, and sadly ... to be politically correct, he does not talk about his radio days properly, and can not even mention bands that he scheduled/played or didn't, and why ... so there is a certain lack of continuity to the story because of that tight mouth BBC like control. Hopefully that was never the case with Strawbs ... and the fact that his mates are still around, might be a good sign.

His book has funny bits ... one in every 25 pages!

Dave Cousins was quite a significant figure in the development of commercial, local radio in the UK but until I read his book I did not know about his earlier associations with the BBC.

If you have not done so already, in addition to the autobiography check out the Book "Secrets, Stories and Songs" Mostly lyrics with some commentary. It also contains a CD with Dave reading the songs as poetry, I cant say I found that as good as listening to the songs but others may.
