Happy in the main, need to learn the revised keyboard shortcuts but getting there.

Had a couple of crashes two which self reported and two I have had to manually report.  It should be said the crashes all happened with third party 32bit freeware soft-synths in unfinished X1 and 8.5.3 projects.

Following on from Noel's post will apply the quick fix today.

I haven't used it that  much to record so far  but I like all the improvements, I had one white screen and I am not even sure what I was doing when it happened and I haven't installed the quick fix yet.
So far very happy, best Sonar yet!

It hasn't been particularly stable for me, but I'm still happy with it.  For some reason, it just feels like everything is coming together in a way it hasn't before, and I'm actually having fun with it instead of fighting with it.  I just checked - can't believe I've been a Cakewalker since Cakewalk Pro 1, produced by Twelve Tone Systems sometime in the previous century!!

Anyway, back to X2 - being just a hobbyist helps, no doubt, since there's no pressure to produce anything.  The crashes I've had would probably put me in the "unhappy" column if I was actually depending on it as a tool to make a living.  But then, if I were depending on it, I would have waited until things settled down before making the change.

I'm definitely happy to see X2 expand on the features of X1. The workflow is much smoother. We still need more customization options, but I'm sure we'll get them eventually.

I'm not one to push the envelope,  so not a good example...but put me on the happy side.

I like the Breverb and TH2 plugins a lot.  The piano view and smart tools is a give and take for me, I'm adjusting.  I wish staff view was better as I really like looking at a score while orchestrating/arranging.

I have not had a project yet that I could take advantange of auto lanes.  I'm looking forward to that.

Very Happy here! Been working on a new album and love the improvements.
Thanks Cake!
Almost two weeks working on it everyday and no crashes yet.

Very happy and no issues at all except for what I just posted in another thread and that could very well be user error.

I've had but a single issue with X2:
When dragging a drum loop into a track (via the Browser) and hitting play... I lost control over the transport.  Couldn't do anything to stop it... (had to shut down the Sonarpdr.exe)
Haven't been able to reproduce the behavior...

Otherwise, X2 has been great.
Love all the small improvements to workflow.

X2 kinda reminds me of Win7 after Vista
Vista was pretty solid after SP2.  Win7 was a nice refinement on Vista SP2.

Overall a good experience better than X1. I love the lanes and the auto focus. I have had crashes but it has been when I have the track going and inserting a synth. Probably not smart.
