a) Go here: http://www.cakewalk.com/manager.aspx
b) Enter your email address
c) You are told "You do not currently have any Cakewalk subscriptions"
d) Go here: http://www.cakewalk.com/newsletter.aspx
e) Enter detail and submit.

Now check the details By repeating steps. I find that step (c) is reproducable each time and you can go around and around in a loop repeating these steps. Also at no stage am I receiving any confirmation email in my inbox or my spam folder.

Cheers

Alex

p.s. When will they update this ruddy forums software from ASPPlayground.NET to 3.9?
Maybe never I suspect or maybe they are waiting for when they get hacked before they do something (Cake are you listening???), there are some serious security issues with the version I am posting on). More info:

I would suggest you give the technical support folks a call.  They have done things over the phone for me with registrations and such.  Maybe for whatever reason they just need to tweak something in their system, or can otherwise manually get you squared away.

1 PM - 6 PM Eastern Time
Monday through Friday

Email Tech Support

PS - I don't think they are likely to change their forum.  Perhaps they will take your advice under consideration, but I doubt it in this case.

Sooooo, call tech support on Monday.

I have confirmed this to be true.

No wonder I don't get any emails for stuff.

...and Rob! Why hasn't your cat figured out a big hammer solves everything.
Works for me anyway.

Andrew Rossa Cakewalk administrator is working this issue. He has stated if you PM him your email address he will sort it out. (lets hope so)

"For those customers having an issue receiving emails, please send me a PM with your email address and I will try to sort it out. "

This is from "New SONAR X2 Producer Content Club" the Sticky at the head of this forum.

Hope this helps.

The cube he is working on used to be a squirrel - he just molded it into the cube shape.

... so he's going to upgrade the forums as well?

These are JUST A FEW of the (probably hundreds of )issues with the forums and ASPPlayground.net. This site is on version 3.5 and the latest is 3.9 plus service packs etc etc. It still screws up line feeds with certain browsers...

This is one of the reasons why I hardly post in these forums (yes you guys are probably better off! :).

This is what it should be like: http://www.aspplayground.net/v3/

Honestly, I am fine with the forums version, outdated or not. I mean it is just a forum. I would rather the Bakers stay busy tuning and improving Sonar.
